Voice in the Wilderness

A Word From Our Pastor

We are living in a truly unprecedented time, like we have never seen before, at least in our lifetime. With turmoil and uncertainty all around us, there is division in all directions just waiting to judge every decision that we make and that causes contradiction as to how we choose to live our lives. Right or wrong does not seem to matter to the public opinion any longer as this generation develops a “feel good” mentality. The tide rolls to the direction of the ones who have the loudest voices.

Many people do not realize that a fast moving water will erode the very pathway it is traveling upon. As the erosion begins, the course of the river then becomes much harder to change. Every gallon of water that has passed under the bridge will never return again. The greatest thing that we all must realize is that this is truly a time where “every minute counts”. There is a short Scripture from Proverbs that seems to sum up our current mission as the corporate Body of Christ.

Proverbs 31:8 NKJ   Open your mouth for the speechless, in the cause of all who are appointed to die.

Our task is to become the dam that stops the erosion of morality. We must remember, we are in the world, but we are not of this world, and we must take a stand on these controversial issues and let our voices be heard. There is no compromise in the Word of God. There is no grey areas in the direction that the Bible gives us. We must realize that when we choose not to make a choice, we then enter into the grey area in which are the lukewarm waters of complacency. This is never intended to be the realm in which Jesus has led us to live our lives.

Narrow is the gate to salvation, but wide is the pathway unto death.

Unfortunately, many people have the tendency to follow the leader of the large group that has chosen the easiest path. This is where we must take our stand, as the voice of Christ, to become the revelation of the TRUTH of the Living Word which is the Holy One living within us. It is by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony that we must declare this TRUTH to all who will listen. And for those who do not listen, we must intercede on their behalf, that their lives will become broken and wrecked, even to a point that there is no place left to turn but unto Jesus Christ the Savior. Our testimony of how the Lord has saved us is one of the most powerful tools that we have in order to lead people into the understanding that our Father in Heaven loves them too. We need to realize that the testimony of our lives began at conception. The message of the Lord from Jeremiah 1:4-5 says that He has known us even before we were formed in our mother’s womb. And even before we were born, we were set apart and appointed to become a prophet to the nations.

We need to understand, that the Lord has a calling and an anointing upon each one of us, and He has chosen us (you and me) to be the ones to stand up and let our voices be heard unto all of the world in order stop the erosion of the fast flowing waters of the immorality around us. We must choose Life, and life more abundantly, as we become the voice to the voiceless, as we take a stand for those who are unable.

With Love, Pastor Don

  1. A large percentage of of the things you mention is supprisingly accurate and that makes me wonder why I had not looked at this in this light previously. This piece really did turn the light on for me as far as this specific subject goes. However at this time there is one particular factor I am not necessarily too comfortable with and while I try to reconcile that with the actual core theme of your issue, allow me see just what all the rest of your readers have to say.Nicely done.
